Questions about the training

Or just ask. I am happy to walk you through any of it. Get in touch.

Is this only for social workers?

No. The standard curriculum is built around social work practice, but we design custom modules and prompt packs according to your use case. We work with the wider social care sector: fostering, residential care, mental health, education welfare, supported living and more.

Is TESSA Training CPD-aligned for social workers?

Yes. All seven modules are CPD-aligned and map to the BASW Code of Ethics for Social Work in England, SWE Professional Standards (1, 3, 4 and 6), and the Oxford Project Pledge for Responsible AI in Social Care. The standard practitioner certificate requires Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. Module 5 (Governance, Quality and Practice Leadership / CLARI:TEA) is optional and reserved for senior leadership. Module 5 requires 100% to pass; every other module requires 70%.

How long does each module take?

The six practitioner modules provide 7.5 CPD hours. The optional senior leadership module adds 1 CPD hour, bringing the seven-module leadership route to 8.5 CPD hours. All seven modules are certified by IQN. The pace and access arrangements are discussed for your cohort.

How should social workers write prompts for AI?

VERA:H pairs Voice / Verify, Evidence / Ethics, Reasoning / Responsibility and Attribution / Accountability, with Human throughout. Make your purpose, evidence and professional judgement explicit, then review what AI produces. Move between the principles as the work develops.

How does training support our organisational guidance?

The learning helps staff practise using AI within agreed boundaries and reviewing its outputs. Discuss your policies and escalation routes when arranging training so the learning can connect to your service.

Can the training work with Microsoft Copilot or other AI tools we already use?

Yes. The prompt packs and sandbox exercises are tuned to whatever Copilot or LLM environment your team already uses. We do not require you to switch tools or buy anything additional.

Do you build custom modules for our specific service area?

Yes. Beyond the seven standard modules we design bespoke training and prompt packs for the specific work your team does: case notes, court reports, chronologies, single assessments, supervision, MCA templates and Care Act planning. Every build is aligned to the VERA:H framework.

Is the training suitable for adults' and children's services?

Yes. Module 4 (AI in Daily Practice) has track-specific paths for adults and children's. Module 7 (Safeguarding with AI) leads on children's safeguarding under Working Together 2026 and section 47, with adults' safeguarding under the Care Act as a secondary thread.

Do you provide certificates and evidence for CQC or Ofsted inspection?

Yes. The standard practitioner certificate is issued after a learner passes Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. Module 5 is optional and reserved for senior leadership, so it does not hold up a practitioner certificate. Module 5 requires 100% to pass; every other module requires 70%. Discuss the completion records and CPD evidence your organisation needs when arranging access.

How often is the training content refreshed?

Modules are reviewed twice yearly and updated in response to legislation, policy and emerging AI risk.
